Caring for the whole human

Humana Healthy Horizons network providers engage in caring for the whole human by helping members understand the connections among their physical, mental and behavioral health, as well as disability or wellness.

Behavioral health includes the assessment and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. We ensure that members managing addiction, mental health or other behavioral disorders have access to the services and care they need to address their concerns. That is want it means to care for the whole human.

We work with our members and their medical and behavioral health providers to:

  • Screen for risk factors that could lead to illness to offer early interventions with a whole-health approach
  • Support integrated behavioral healthcare by helping our members and providers coordinate services

Behavioral health coverage

Humana Healthy Horizons® in Oklahoma covers a variety of services provided by medical professionals or behavioral health consultants in medical clinics, including:

  • Screening for alcohol or substance use issues
  • Screening for common mental health conditions
  • Medication management
  • Coordination of referrals to specialized health services

Crisis services

Humana Healthy Horizons offers behavioral health crisis services to SoonerSelect members. If your members are experiencing a crisis, please have them reach out to one of these resources by:

  • Calling our Behavioral Health Services Hotline at 888-445-8742, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Calling or texting 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Visiting the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline  to chat online with a crisis counselor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
