Availity Essentials is a secure multipayer portal that lets you interact with Humana Healthy Horizons® in Ohio and other participating payers.

When filing electronic Medicaid claims, please use Payer ID 61103 for your patients with coverage through Humana Healthy Horizons in Ohio. Please do not use Humana’s traditional Payer ID for fee-for-service claims (61101) when submitting Humana Healthy Horizons in Ohio Medicaid claims. Learn more about filing electronic claims .

With an Availity Essentials portal account, you can interact with participating payers without learning to use multiple systems or remembering separate payer user IDs or passwords. Many Humana-specific tools are accessible from Humana’s payer space.

Submitting claims, authorizations, and attachments

Until the Ohio Department of Medicaid fully launches its Ohio Medicaid Enterprise System (OMES), providers who care for Medicaid recipients with coverage through Humana Healthy Horizons® in Ohio must submit claims, authorizations, and attachments via their secure Availity Essentials account.

After logging into your Availity Essentials account, please select “OH Medicaid Payer ID (61103) – Humana Healthy Horizons (Ohio Medicaid)” from the Payer dropdown before submitting claims. Select “Humana” or “Humana Behavioral Health” from the Payer dropdown before submitting authorizations.

We will update you once ODM fully launches its OMES and providers must start submitting claims, authorizations, and attachments through the OMES front door via the ODM Provider Network Management (PNM) portal.
